Organizational Chart

Welcome to the guide on the Organizational Chart feature in DecisionHR, designed to give you a clear and detailed view of your company's structure. This guide will help you understand the hierarchy, reporting relationships, and the various roles within your organization. Here's how it can benefit you and how to navigate it effectively:

What is the Organizational Chart?

The Organizational Chart is a visual representation of your company's structure. It outlines who reports to whom and the hierarchy of subordinates in the company. This tool is invaluable for understanding how your company is organized and where you fit within that structure.

The chart does not yet reflect the various departments and locations of the company. It only reflects the hierarchy and subordinates.

Benefits of the Organizational Chart

  • Clear Hierarchy: You can easily see who your managers and team leaders are, as well as their supervisors, giving you a better understanding of the reporting structure.
  • Enhanced Communication: Knowing the organizational structure helps direct your questions and communications to the right people, ensuring efficient and effective interactions.
  • Better Collaboration: Identify colleagues with different supervisors, making it easier to know how to collaborate across teams and understand who to contact for various projects or tasks.

How to Access the Organizational Chart

Accessing the Organizational Chart is simple. After logging in to your employee account, click the Company tab in the app's sidebar. Your company's organizational chart will appear in the resulting window.

Once in the Organizational Chart section, you can explore the hierarchy by scrolling through the chart to see your company's hierarchy levels, including executives, managers, team leaders, and individual contributors.

Here are some practical ways to use the Organizational Chart effectively:

  • Identify Your Team: Quickly see who your direct reports and team members are, helping you understand your immediate working group.
  • Understand Reporting Lines: Clarify who you report to and who reports to you, ensuring you know the correct reporting lines.
  • Facilitate Communication: Easily identify who to contact for collaborations on specific tasks or projects, streamlining your communication within the company.
  • Plan Your Career Path: Understand the different roles and hierarchies to see potential career progression routes within your company.

Keeping the Chart Updated

The HR department regularly updates the Organizational Chart to reflect any changes in company structure. However, you can contact HR for assistance if you notice discrepancies or have questions about the chart.
